Naruto Movies
In this list, you are gonna know all of Naruto’s cinematic exploits. We have ordered them based on their popularity and impact within the anime community.
No 01: The Last: Naruto The Movie
Release Date:
December 6, 2014
Storyline:
The enemy is interesting and the action could get intense but you are not here. You are here to see the confirmation of a ship, years in the making. Serving is something of a pretty pitch-perfect conclusion to the series. This film is about Naruto, finally figuring out that Hinata might actually be into in, cementing their romance beyond a shadow of a doubt. The fact that it took the moon, literally falling to earth for it to clink is a whole other matter. But we got our kiss scene and that’s all that counts.
No 02: Boruto: Naruto The Movie
Release Date:
August 7, 2015
Storyline:
What better way to get us excited for the Naruto sequel series than by giving us a movie that celebrated the best and the worst of his offspring. With an obdurateness that surpasses even his father, Boruto struggles to find his place in the Ninja world.. All while eager to gain as much power as possible. He finally learns that what humility means when a powerful foe rears its head. Even if you’re not a fan of boruto’s stunts over here, you have to check this movie out. Just to see Naruto and Sasuke reunite to show off their mad opie skills.
No 03: Road To Ninja: Naruto The Movie
Release Date:
July 28, 2012
Storyline:
Naruto and Sakura walk through the mirror as Tobi transports them to a parallel world where everybody’s personalities have changed. Naruto’s parents are alive. Sasuke is a pretty chill guy, he nuts, I lost her nervousness and now seriously wants the D. The Akatsuki is truly the leaf village’s ultimate fighting force. Honestly, the gags and fights in this movie are so good, we kind of want to stick around a little longer.
No 04: Naruto The Movie: Blood Prison
Release Date:
July 30, 2011
Storyline:
A case of missing identity lands Naruto in the big house, one that limits his chakra and is run by a rather sadistic warden. There are times when there is a much greater threat on the horizon. It’s up to our imprisoned here over to stop it but first, he’s got to bust out. Well, we do wish the grittiness of the premise could have lived up to its potential. Seeing Narezo caused a riot and nearly lives his life in this one, still made it a compelling watch.
No 05: Naruto Shippuden The Movie: The Lost Tower
Release Date:
July 31, 2010
Storyline:
This movie actually sees Naruto travel back 20 years into the past, while chasing down a dangerous criminal. He discovers that he meets his beloved father before becoming Hokage. Sure, they don’t obey the one single rule of time travel but it’s still cool to see father and son take out such a large threat together. The elsewhere aspect of this film would later behind out in a future Flake but there’s still plenty to enjoy here.
No 06: Naruto Shippuden The Movie: The Will Of Fire
Release Date:
August 1, 2009
Storyline:
The stakes really got ramped up with this one but at the same time managed to give us a character-focused piece that solved the emotional weight. After a new villain manages to throw the leaf village’s political stability into chaos, Kakashi finds himself labeled as a missing-nin. It’s up to Naruto and the others to save him from meeting a grisly end. The battles are certainly larger than life but the real selling point is seeing student and mental fight side by side fueled by their trust in one another.
No 07: Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow
Release Date:
August 21, 2004
Storyline:
For nerds of the cinematic debut, we can happily say we weren’t disappointed. Taking all young heroes out of the leaf village and into the snow, they find themselves having to protect a famous actress from a mysterious band of killers. The fact that Team 7 was united from the very beginning undoubtedly caused nostalgia. But the movie really pulls out all the stumps when it comes to the action. The Jutsu here is practically mesmerizing if a little weird. It’s not every day you get to see Kakashi, literally, engaging in a whale war against an assassin.
No 08: Naruto Shippuden The Movie: Bonds
Release Date:
August 2, 2008
Storyline:
Like plenty of great action, the thing that this movie really has going for it is how it utilizes the character of Sasuke. Following the Sky Ninja’s attack, the escort mission soon becomes deadly, causing the two old rivals to forge a partnership that is unlikely to eliminate the new threat. Given how the movie was set during Sasuke’s days as a row team arrow point. I mean student, it’s great to see the medley of reactions caused by his sudden reappearance. He is still in his bad-boy phase after all.
No 09: Naruto Shippuden The Movie
Release Date:
August 4, 2007
Storyline:
Well, we all know that there was no way our main character could ever be killed off. The fact that this movie presents the idea that his fate is sealed made for an enticing premise. Assigned to a priestess who can see the future. Naruto and company must stop the rise of an ancient evil before hits the fan. The movie isn’t as gutsy as it likes to think it is. But we can still appreciate the battles with the Army of Stone, that sweet Rasengan ending and the fact that it all ended with the promise of a prized trophy.
No 10: Naruto The Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel
Release Date:
August 6, 2005
Storyline:
The flicks that centered around Naruto before his ship at end days, may have had their forgettable moments. But it can’t be denied that if you’re just looking for a fun romp then you can’t go wrong with this little endeavor. What was originally a low-class mission involving a ferret, soon explodes into a battle against robot ninja, moving castles and a knight named Tim Joo. Whose sword would look more in place in a medieval fantasy. It may not be Naruto’s finest hour but at least a machine makes for an interesting character. Plus, Shikamaru gets his chance to shine.
